Go Slow and Stay Awhile!

Caye Caulker is a small limestone coral island located about 21 miles northeast of Belize City in Central America. It is part of the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the second-longest barrier reef in the world. The island is approximately 4 miles long and less than a mile wide, making it easily accessible on foot or by bicycle. There are no cars on the island, and the preferred mode of transportation is golf carts or bikes, adding to the island's laid-back atmosphere.
To reach Caye Caulker, travelers can take a short flight from Belize City or hop on a water taxi from either Belize City or the neighboring island of Ambergris Caye. The water taxi ride takes about 45 minutes and offers stunning views of the turquoise waters and the distant barrier reef.

Caye Caulker is renowned for its stunning beaches, with soft white sand and crystal-clear waters that beckon visitors to swim, snorkel, and relax. The island's beaches are scattered along the eastern side, with the most popular being the Split, a narrow channel of water that divides the island in two. The Split is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and socializing, with its vibrant beach bars and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
The waters surrounding Caye Caulker are teeming with marine life, making it a paradise for water activities. Snorkeling and diving are popular here, with the Belize Barrier Reef just a short boat ride away. The reef offers a spectacular underwater world of colorful corals, tropical fish, and other marine creatures, including nurse sharks and stingrays. Shark Ray Alley, a popular snorkeling spot, allows visitors to swim with these gentle creatures in their natural habitat.
Fishing is also a popular activity in Caye Caulker, with opportunities for reef fishing, fly fishing, and deep-sea fishing. The island is known for its abundance of fish species, including bonefish, tarpon, and permit, making it a haven for anglers.
Island Culture and Local Delights

The island is home to a small but vibrant community of locals and expats, who are known for their friendly and welcoming nature.
